Types of Strata Insurance

Residential
On shared property, Strata Insurance cover may be required in addition to your individual property insurance. The body corporate is required by law to hold residential strata insurance, and this generally covers common or shared property under the management of a strata title. This may include cover for common or shared areas such as gardens, lifts, walls, windows, pools, ceiling and floors, and liability cover for injury to people on common property.
Commercial
Strata insurance can be designed to protect the specific insurance needs of commercial business owners, often within a larger building or complex. This cover is not always included under a standard commercial property insurance policy. Commercial Strata Insurance provides cover for commercial buildings under a strata title, ranging from retail shops, offices or workshops, through to multi-tenanted industrial sites

Mixed-usage
Some Strata properties include a mixture of commercial and residential tenancies. The cover will be tailored accordingly, to ensure the requirements of all tenants are taken into consideration under the insurance cover you choose. We can take the pressure off you by professionally reviewing your current insurance policy, to ensure you have the best possible cover to meet your requirements and that of the other owners in your site.
